This Senior wins the award for best location for their shoot this year. We went out to their lake house and it was absolutely amazing!! Real log cabin (as in logs from the trees cut down on the property), a beautiful little lake with a dock- boat- whole nine yards, horse coral with a pasture, their restored Ford truck… I was in overload and think I will have to go back to take more photos just to properly grasp how cool this place was. This family is also near & dear to me as they have been with me for years… I have done their family photos, his older sister’s Senior shoot. I LOVE when my clients come back to me :)
Oh my gosh… these three little girls were sooo cute. I loved how they were each so different but together made the perfect little set :) And if they didn’t win me over by their sheer cuteness alone… when we were getting ready to leave one of them grabs my hand and says ‘I love you.’ I was like ‘Oh my goodness, how sweet are you?? I love you too!’ And then she says ‘Well, you are sweet & funny!’ Umm yeah, you wanna win me over? That will pretty much do it ;)

Kathy Carlisle: The one of the girls inbetween the legs needs to be huge first of all! Mainly because it is so candid and would make them smile just thinking about getting the "perfect" shot of the out of the day. Secondly, this shoot is ridiculous (good) and I think you captured each personality perfectly. And two:) I think your panels are the best in the history of panels! (09.22.2008 09:20pm)

Another mentoring session under my belt. This one was a little different though cause I got to hang out with TWO fabulous photographers! Maggie & Jen took a little road trip to Portland so we could all hang out for the day. The great part is that we had a little guest appearance by Ms Wrecklessgirl herself AND we photographed a local Vancouver photographer’s family. It was like one big party!! :) Thank you guys for coming to see me & hang out for the day. With each of these sessions I feel like I have made a new friend and grown so much more as a photographer myself. thank you. :)

Seniors are kinda far & few this year. In all my traveling I seemed to have forgotten to get reps and plan for the Senior season. So I am really enjoying the ones that I have. I am so glad that I was able to do this one. We finished up her shoot at dusk and she had to be up at the crack of dawn to leave… for the year! She will be studying abroad this year and I am so excited for her. I just hope she can get a good internet connection to see her photos! ;) I loved her smile/giggle- absolutely contagious…

Jamie: Could you tell me more about how you normally advertise for seniors? I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the word out. Most people where I live wait until the snow melts in the spring to even think about Senior pics, so I've got a little while till then. Thanks, you are my idol... seriously! (09.12.2008 07:30am)
