Last month I got to go on a ‘business’ trip to Minneapolis. Yes, it was business. Technically I was hired to come for a shoot of the wonderful Michael B… honestly though, it was so much fun I almost forgot it was business. Not only is Michael an amazing photographer, he is one of the most fun/sweet guys you’ll ever meet (yes girls, he is single… ;) ) He showed me Minneapolis, introduced me to some other fabulous photographers (Sally & Eliesa- Blu’s Girl of the year!) and, well, was just the most awesome host a girl could ask for!
I fell in love with his adorable (SUPER adorable) children. His little girl is honestly the sweetest thing I have ever met and his son is boy through & through and I couldn’t love him more for it!
Without further ado…
I actually had 3 shoots when I was out in Dallas last month. I also did Mr. Fred Egan. I got together with him & his boys for a bit the last day I was there. We got to hang out & play before my dash to catch my plane home. His boys, as you can see, are about the cutest things you could lay a camera on. Got me wrapped around their little fingers… basic hook, line & sinker. And Fred, well I’ll let you be the judge of that… ;)

Another mentoring session and another incredible gift of fabulous people coming into my life. Jared, an incredible photographer in his own right, contacted me about my mentoring sessions and the next thing I knew I was on a plane to Dallas and we were talking, shooting, hanging out… I feel so absolutely blessed to have met Jared and his wife. They are some of the kindest, sweetest, most generous people I have met and I just feel so fortunate to have gotten the chance to become friends…
While I was there we did a typical session (for the mentoring part, I’ll share from that soon!) and we also did a little shoot of Jared & his lovely wife, Jessica (and can’t forget darling little Lucy!!)…

I had so much fun with this family… we just wandered around downtown Vancouver and then hit the beach just as the sun was going down. I love just hanging out with families like this that it is kinda hard to call it work ;) This family traveled all the way from Chicago for this photo shoot and I am SO glad that they did. I had so much fun getting to know them & can’t wait to work with them again! Maybe next time I’ll be able to go to them and show you a little Chicago backdrop ;) I’m loving all the traveling for my shoots (posts from those coming up soon!) and getting a chance to meet people from other cities. It has made for a fantastic (busy!!) summer full of great memories… :)

Willow: #1-that mom is beautiful! I love the one with big sis holding onto mom, the look on her face...you can feel the love. and little sis laying on mom's leg, could she be any cuter?? The one of the little girl with her hand on her hip made me stop and SMILE - way too much cuteness....and the ones of the boy with the hat & then Michael with the hat are PERFECT. Love the family...love the chair...love the locations. And I can back up just how awesome Michael is!
