I would say that in at least half of my sessions the question of ‘how long have you been doing this?’ comes up. For a while now my answer has been ‘umm… about 4 years i think?’ …can’t say dates have ever been my forte ;) So i finally decided to actually look and see. And guess what? This june will be 5 years! i cannot believe how the time has flown or the fabulous people that i have had come into my life to entrust me with their images. It has been a wild ride and I have adored every minute of it. So as a little celebration and ‘thank you’ to everyone that has helped me come this far, I am having a ‘Happy 5th Anniversary Sale’ for six days only (through June 2nd). I’ve known this young man for a few years now and, I gotta say, I pretty much adore he and his sister in front of my camera. They let me do whatever I want.. dress ‘em, pose ‘em, even make ‘em do handstands (haha- sorry!) The end result is always completely fun, my vision & pure inspiration to keep me wanting more. This shoot was extra fun cause Jen came along and shot too! I LOVE getting together with other photographers.. feed off each other’s excitement, passion & love for all things photography.

I love photography (news flash!!). Really though, I look around my world during the day and I am always taking ‘shots’ in my mind. I look for catch lights in peoples’ eyes when we talk. I think how fabulous their outfit would photograph. I find inspiration in a cinematic moment or the way someone holds their head when they talk. It never ends.
And my second love? That would be styling the shoots. I adore bringing together looks just by finding the right outfit, the perfect accessory, the hair style that sets it apart. So the fact that I am blessed to have companies that loan me huge wardrobes to go crazy with is like heaven to me. My latest connection is the Gromshop. They are a local skate shop with fabulous clothes and even more fabulous owners. They let me come in and ‘shop’ for this shoot. I was in skater style bliss :) You can buy all the clothes in these images there and they were AWESOME when we bought my son’s longboard. So helpful and nice… go check ‘em out!
And I have to brag on the awesome models that came and helped me. (Obviously) Adorable and SUCH sweet kids.. and the bulldog? Well, Reggie was the pièce de résistance. I really don’t think I have ever seen such a cute dog. I mean really??
